Puppy Love Bed & Biscuits
Puppy Love is an unique dog boarding facility in Lancaster, KY exclusively built for small and toy breed dogs. Although, we cater to the needs of smaller dogs, we do have larger dogs visit on a case by case decision based on the safety of the dogs. We offer a home-like environment so you don't have to worry about your little ones while you're away. This business began as a dream of the owner 's and was a labor of love by her husband. Themed Rooms Sure to Spoil!
Choose from 6 themed 4' x 5' areas for your lil' prince or princess's stay. Our current accommodations include The Great Barksby Suite, Barkingham Palace Suite, Hollywag Suite, The Puppy Love Suite,, The Cozy Paws Suite, and MetroPAWitan Museum Suite. Many of our guests keep their belongings in their suites but are free to roam inside the building. There is the Couch Paw-tato area with a plush top twin mattress, the "Oh The Places You'll Go" window seat, the Barking Bench to watch everyone come and go, and the beloved rocking glider for guests to lounge on.
The Wag Philosophy
Our goal is that your dog will start wagging his/her tail in excitement as soon as you pull in our drive on your return visit. We will provide all the love and attention your dog deserves while you're away. No need to feel guilty any more when you are unable to take your little dog(s) with you.
OUR THEMED ROOMS
The Puppy Love Suite
The Puppy Love Suite was designed with the owner's great loves in mind, music and dogs. This suite has a window and includes a grand piano bed custom made just for Puppy Love. It is reminiscent of songs about dogs in the musical world. Your pup might even hear Puppy Love by Donny Osmond playing since the vintage vinyl album is displayed.
The Great Barksby
The Great Barksby includes a luxury raised bed. Your pup will enjoy playing with the toys we think the Great Gatsby himself would approve of, a martini shaped squeaker and a bundle of cash chew toy!
Hollywag Suite
This suite includes a custom bed made from a vintage tv cabinet. It is in honor of the Hollywood greats such as Toto (Wizard of Oz), Mother Teresa (Must Love Dogs), Brinkley (You've Got Mail), Petey (Little Rascals), Benji, and Lassie. It comes complete with a bag of pupcorn chew toy!
The Cosmo"PAW"itan Suite
This suite includes an extra large luxury orthopedic dog bed. This suite has a window view. Your dog can view the fine arts that include dogs and play with Vincent Van squirrel and Bob Toss the Squirrel.
Barkingham Palace Suite
The Barkingham Palace includes a custom made canopy bed with a plush dog pillow. This suite even has a crown for your little princess or prince to play with or pose in!
The Cozy Paws Cabin
This suite includes a luxurious orthopedic raised bed. Your dog can relax by the fireplace but better watch out for Paddy opposum and Monty the Moose squeaking around!
OUR BOARDING CONCEPT
What Makes Us Unique?
The owner could never find what she was looking for in a boarding facility when planning vacations that did not offer pet friendly accommodations. They were adequate but not what she felt little dogs needed. We opened our doors in May 2016 with her concept of boarding.
1. Guests are provided with care 24/7. We do not go home at 5 o'clock.
2. Guests are provided with potty breaks until bedtime AT NO EXTRA COST.
3. Guests enjoy as much as freedom as safety allows to play and interact all day AT NO EXTRA COST.
4. Guests bring their food with them and are kept on their home feeding schedules as close as possible AT NO EXTRA COST.
5. The Innkeeper will administer any medications the owner requests during the stay AT NO EXTRA COST.
6. Rates do not change for peak seasons.
7. Owners may call/text daily if they wish. Pictures may be sent AT NO EXTRA COST.
8. Guests DO NOT stay in stacked or raised metal cages. Kenneling in enclosed wire/plastic kennels is only by owner request.
9. Guests enjoy surround sound in the building with nightly bedtime music.
10. The Innkeeper has slumber parties, barking bubbles play, movie nights, toy chest and treats(with owner approval) for the guests.
